Hi, I am Helen! I am a sophomore and a Music Education major. I will be blogging on here every so often to tell you about what’s happening on the beautiful Bluefield campus, what is to come for us and a current student’s viewpoint of being on-campus. So, have a seat, relax and enjoy hearing about the “happenin’s”and things to look forward to!
The weather is beginning to turn warmer and the students are starting to do fun activities outside, after being cooped up for 4 months in the dorms. Don’t get me wrong, I love the dorms, but after having no other place to hang-out accept the dorms, it can get a little boring! So, when spring begins to bud, it’s almost like a time of freedom; like a breath of fresh air during those doldrum days of school that students tend to find themselves in. It’s called spring fever!
Next month in the beginning of April, we are going to having our Spring Formal. Spring Formal is put on by Student Union Board or SUB, as we like to call it. I am a member of this organization and we put on a majority of campus-wide events along with the Residence Life and BAM, blessings and More. Our theme for this year is “Under the Sea”. It is going to be a “sea” of greens, blues, and bright colors imitating the awesome beauty of the living ocean. It is sure to be a “swell” time for BC students and we are all looking forward to it!
